FARGO— up to 80% of woman diagnosed with breast cancer do not have a family history. Health officials with the Edith Sanford Breast Center say early detection can save your life.
Health officials say you should start early screening for breast cancer at age 40. If you have a family history, you may want to start screening as young as 25 in order to catch it as early as possible.
The Edith Sanford Breast Center not only provides screenings, but also can provide the latest tools, methods, and breast cancer care care from start to finish if needed.
"I think the biggest thing is that we can provide care from the start to the end, you know, all the way through the huge asset of having that survivorship care, and that follow up after treatment," says Morgan Rinke, a nurse practitioner at Sanford Health.
