ARIZONA (KUSI) – Al Reszel set off on March 5 on a solo bicycle ride from Ocean Beach up to New York City to raise funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of his wife Terry, a breast cancer survivor.
Terry has been following his journey by vehicle and both had reached about 20 miles from New Mexico by Sunday morning.
Both Al and Terry joined KUSI’s Elizabeth Alvarez on “Good Morning San Diego” to discuss details of the excursion thus far.
They are hoping to raise $15,000 for the BCRF during the 2022 fundraising period.
