CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative is kicking off their 2021 Pink Ribbon Runs this weekend in Casper.

Wyoming has some of the lowest statistics for preventative care in the country. The Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative is working to improve these statistics by helping Wyoming families get the care they need.

Events like the Pink Ribbon Run bring awareness to these statistics while celebrating survivors.

“So what the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative strives to do is not only educate but to offer grants and funds to make al of that accessible so we are saving Wyoming lives. And I can’t emphasize this enough, Wyoming money stays to help Wyoming families with the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative,” said Cathy Holman, a board member for WBCI.

The first Pink Ribbon Run begins Saturday, August 7th at David Street Station in Casper.

There will also be runs on August 14th in Cheyenne and August 21st in Riverton.
