One restaurant in Illinois has been on a roll lately because it was ranked as serving the best bread in the Prairie State.
To help diners make bread-er choices, health news website Eat This, Not That combed through reviews on Tripadvisor to compile a list of the best restaurant bread in each state.
"From fresh crusty bread with butter to piping hot loaves served with delicious spreads, bread can really make or break a meal," part of the roundup said.
In Illinois, seafood restaurant Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in Chicago came out of the oven and on top for serving the best basket of bread, according to the list.
Chosen for its assortment of freshly baked warm bread, Joe's in Chicago is ranked No. 4 out of 4,394 restaurants in the Windy City on Tripadvisor.
Reviews range from diners describing it as "dangerously delicious" and saying they were offered a second basket because they finished the first one quickly to others enjoying it so much they grabbed a "couple extra to take [home] with us."
