Bachelorette: Bennett Jordan Hosts Shirtless Banana Bread Master Class - Screen Rant

With much of the world still in quarantine, baking has become all the rage. Not everyone is brave enough to attempt a sourdough starter, but The Bachelorette season 16 star Bennett Jordan has posted a helpful new video to help anyone master the art of the country’s other favorite quarantine treat—banana bread.  The ever-dapper Bennett Jordan was introduced to viewers on Clare Crawley’s (and later Tayshia Adams’) season when the Harvard grad stepped out of the limo with a sleek white scarf and Clark Kent smile.

Bennett quickly developed a reputation for impeccable style and adherence to self-care (face masks and spa water abound at Château de Bennett), and while he seemed to get along with most of the other men, the same could not be said for his relationship with castmember Noah Erb. While Bennett saw Noah as immature and not ready for a serious relationship, Noah didn’t appreciate being talked down to. Their disdain for one another culminated in a conversation where Bennett accused Noah of lacking emotional intelligence—which gave Bachelor Nation fans major Nick Viall Bachelor season flashbacks. Tayshia eventually decided Bennett was not the right man for her and went on to find her happy ending with Zac Clark, but fans have been Bennett-obsessed ever since.

Since the show, Bennett has continued to draw fans on Instagram, where he regularly shows off his chic fashion sense and self-care practices. But when he’s not posting a new #ootd pic or explaining the benefits of jade rollers, he has given followers a peek into his kitchen, where he whips up enviable culinary creations. In November, he provided a tutorial in making his famous “green juice,” a concoction of power greens, fruit, and coconut water that he passed out to Chris Harrison and fellow castmates on The Bachelorette season 16 men tell all episode. Most recently, he took to Instagram to offer up his recipe for “ooey gooey Southern banana bread,” and boy does he look like he knows what he’s doing.

Adorned in his very best denim apron and under-eye masks, Bennett reveals the secrets to the perfect banana bread, which include using buttermilk, overripe bananas,  lots of butter, and undercooking the bread for 10-15 minutes. And of course, he demonstrates the absolutely crucial final step of serenading your freshly out-of-the-oven bread with “No Diggity” by Blackstreet—can’t overstress how important this step is. Fans learned several new things about Bennett in this video, such as his predilection for using self-rising flour (to each his own), dislike of buttermilk (same), and a desperate need for some oven cleaner.

Quarantine is hard enough on its own, so there’s no reason you should do it without baked goods, and luckily Bennett has Bachelor Nation’s back with this stellar banana bread recipe. Though Bennett didn’t find love on The Bachelorette, if he brings his top-notch kitchen skills with him to Bachelor in Paradise, 2021 might just be the year he finds a lifetime cooking partner.
