We teamed up with New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital /Weill Cornell Medical Center, SHARE Cancer Support and Faces of Research, LLC for a special collaboration to educate and raise awareness about early detection, progress, breakthrough treatments and importance of representation in clinical trials.
According to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer and African American women have a 31% breast cancer mortality rate – the highest of any U.S. racial or ethnic group.” Join us to hear our special guest Dr. Vivian Bea, MD, MBS, FACS, Section Chief, Breast Surgical Oncologist, Director of Breast Program at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center along with Mel Hardman of Faces of Research, LLC and Lisa Jones of SHARE speak on Women of Color and Breast Cancer.
