At Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Long Island Breast Surgery Associates, our doctors treat people who have breast cancer and other breast diseases. Our breast surgeons specialize in traditional and minimally invasive breast surgery, including robotic surgery that uses smaller incisions and shortens recovery time.
We perform the following surgical procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer:
During surgery, our surgeons use a small device called SAVI SCOUT® to precisely locate and remove a tumor. Our goal is to remove the cancer but conserve as much of normal breast tissue as possible.
We are recognized as a Hidden Scar Center for our expertise in this surgical approach to remove cancerous tissue without causing visible scarring. We also provide preventive surgery for people who are at high risk for breast cancer.
As part of Perlmutter Cancer Center and NYU Langone’s Breast Cancer Center, our surgeons collaborate with other specialists to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient.
